DELAY IN ONLINE REGISTRATION

Sooo Sorry!! JANUARY 5th ONLINE REGISTRATION IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN.

We cannot launch the online registration on January 5th. However, we have posted the actual Registration Form – which you can print separately. Please use it to organize your classes schedule and plan your budget. This will make things go much smoother when you DO GO ONLINE TO REGISTER FOR YOUR CLASSES. (SOON – very SOON!)

We are extremely sorry for this unavoidable delay – but we’re doing it for YOU. We want your online registration experience to be trouble-free and as safe as possible. Online Registration will still be the QUICKEST way for you to get all the classes you want…and it will be available very soon. We will post the exact time on our WEBSITE, Facebook page and this blog.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND YOUR ENTHUSIASM…

P.S. It will NOT be at midnight – as we want actual people available to you on the phone to handle problems you may encounter – so when it’s ready – it will be at 8:00 AM PST. WE WIL KEEP YOU POSTED…

  1. I hope getting all the 'bugs' worked out before we register goes smoothly. I am anxious and ready to hit the 'send' button for all my classes! :) Glad to know I don't have to stay up until midnight, thanks for letting us know. :)

  2. Rita, sorry to bother you. I looked up the updated list of corrections. Class #1073 has been changed from Friday to Saturday, but no time has been given. How can I find out what the time will be? It will make a big difference for me.

    Thank you,

    Carol

  3. Dear Carol, questions are NEVER a bother. Please email Ann Sagawa directly -- her email is: asagawa@wsu.edu

    She has the class "answers"...

  4. Well, darn it....I'm NEVER up at 8a.m., but I'm ALWAYS up at midnight!! Actually, I'm usually up till at least 2a.m., then sleep till 10 or later!
I had the Sew Expo website in place on my computer at midnight (20 minutes ago), waiting and ready to order my tickets. I'm more disappointed that you won't open it up until 8a.m. than I am about the delay of a few days! I hope we'll have at least 24 hours notice when you Are able to take orders!
Just had another thought--if I had sent my order in two days ago (as I normally would have), would you be processing it when it got into your office tomorrow???

  5. dear clt22409.

the launch has to happen when there are REAL PEOPLE available to help. Trust me -- that's a good thing. Online Registration will still beat snail mail registration...because the whole system has been automated.

  7. I've brought my now 11 year old granddaughter to Expo the past 2 years and she loved it. When I talked to her the other day about coming, so we could pick classes....she told me she wanted to stay home so she doesn't miss school! It's "the best year EVER" and they are doing experiments in science lab that she doesn't want to miss. Plus she "wants to keep her grades up" to go on a year end camping trip. (She's in junior honor society so don't think it's a problem). Glad she's so interested in school, but disappointed she won't be coming to Expo!

  8. You mentioned something about selling tickets AT THE SHOW as a solution? My vote would be NO NO NO to that proposal. I come from 2+ hours away and stay in a hotel for 2 nights in the Tacoma area to attend the show and classes. I would definitely NOT make the drive and pay for a hotel if I did not have confirmed tickets--both for admission and the classes. Having to stand in line at the show would cut into the "quality sewing and learning time". I am looking fwd to this year's online registration, but cannot find the printable form you also mentioned.

  9. Bappa -- I was only talking about the CHARITY event. All other classes and events will be ticketed, as always. It's just that we aren't sure how we'll be able to take the Mary Bridge Children's Hospital money.
