We have many exciting changes happening for the 2011 Show. For instance -- the Sunday charity event. Instead of one big session at 8:30 -- we'll have two sessions at 10:30 and 11:30. And, this year -- EVERY DOLLAR we raise will go directly to the Mary Bridge Pediatric Hospital.
AND -- the biggest change is that the event itself will be a Pro-Am Sewing Exhibition! Hummm.. What kind of event is that?? Well -- our fabulous sewing stars will be paired up to mentor local sewing rookies -- and we CAN'T WAIT TO SEE what they come up with!
Coats & Clark is the sponsor of our charity event -- in this 2010 picture, Lynn Browne from Coats & Clark is posing with me backstage. We took pink & red in two completely different directions...
Mary Mulari has agreed to be one of the sewing star Mentors...I swear, in this picture she looks like she is walking on a tightrope. As I recall, she was spinning -- to show off her pink and red poncho (or, maybe it was the shocking pink duct-taped shoes?)...
This is a picture of some of last year's participants. The new Coats & Clark Pro-Am Sewing Exhibition is going to be a GREAT SHOW. With your help -- we'll raise money for a wonderful local cause --Mary Bridge Pediatric Hospital. You'll learn more about them in future posts.
And -- remember -- we will also be collecting pillowcases for the children of Mary Bridge. I can't think of a better way to USE UP YOUR FABRIC STASH...
