2013 Sew Expo Planning Meeting

As you can imagine -- there are a LOT OF MOVING PARTS to Sew Expo. And there are many people working on this show throughout the year that you will never meet or hear about. On the first day of the 2013 Planning Meeting (which is a three-day-Extravaganza) -- the Expo Committee gets together to report on how things went at the 2012 show...
Attending: Barbara Bitetto, Barbara Williams, Carole Sheldon, Jean Snedden, Julie Kennedy, Karen Renaud-Williams, Katy Patjens, Lana Lueschow, Mary Collen...please forgive me if I left anybody out...
Right before we break for lunch, the "J" girls do a catch-up -- Julie, Joanne and Jean...

Ann is giving Katie, Karen and Barb a pat on the back.  GREAT JOB, TICKET OFFICE!!

Lana has been in charge of the door prize committee for many years.  And Barb and Carole gave a report on Hostesses.

Every year, when I get to Puyallup for the show -- I can't wait to get out to the Fairgrounds to see the show we've all worked so hard on. And in so many ways, they are the unsung heros who go above and beyond to make Sew Expo a success. When I see these women -- I am always greeted with a hug and a smile...and I know that's how they want YOU to feel when you come to the show.
Take Carole, for example. One year, when Mary Mulari and I were doing our "Ya Ya" show -- several sessions had been added. I was confused about the schedule...and totally whipped. I decided to take a nap. As the rest of the world frantically looked for me -- Carole calmly went up on stage and entertained a room full of women...

YOU WOMEN ROCK.  Thanks for doing what you do -- and caring so much about the show.  Because of you -- Sew Expo is the largest consumer sewing show in the United States.  Expo has a unique personality and energy that no other show even comes close to.  You are the heart...
